Polish in San Diego, CA

It's my third time coming back to Polish and I must say that I'm very pleased with how my nails always turn out really nice and to my liking. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I don't mind the 40 minute drive every three weeks coz of how my nails always looks amazing.

I used to frequent this place years ago and loved it, but it has since changed. I called because I was in the area, and I asked for the price of a pedicure with gel and a gel removal. The girl told me it would be $42 total. I asked about the gel removal once again and she said it was included. I go in, sit down, and confirm the price with the nail text. She then tells me it's $55... for a gel pedicure!! Not only is that super expensive, it's almost a $15 difference from what they quoted me 5 minutes prior! I decided to just stay since my feet were already in the water... bad idea. The pedicure was not very good and the tech did not make my toenails squared as I asked. She never asked me how I liked them during the process, and she also didn't use the color polish I wanted because she said it was too light and it wouldn't come out the same as the sample nail. Well if that's the case, then they shouldn't offer that color or they should recreate a sample nail with a realistic amount of coats that accurately shows how the color will look.
So after my crappy, expensive pedicure, I go to the front to pay and my total has now gone up $1 for a total of $56. I didn't even ask why I got charged the extra dollar because I felt so irritated and upset and just wanted to get out of there. I will NEVER return to this salon.

I will never go to Polish Nails again!!! I had my nails done at another nail place for $45  I had my toe nails done and it was$65 and the lady did okay. I had a pedicure, polish and callus removal. Such a rip off!!

Was told the wait was going to be 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I was still waiting for top coat. My daughter and I needed powder dip top coat on our nails after running out at home and having everything else done. I told the girl at the front desk and she told no one just asked us to wait in the line. It was so simple  and  could have been done while someone else was drying but Instead every employee would go to the back for 10 minutes between customers. It seemed pretty low energy and very slow.  6 employees in the building and 5 customers being helped. Someone waiting in a pedicure chair and me waiting as well.

Q was a great tech. She is always lovely and kind. I do know everytime i come in, I am going to be there awhile. But, with her, it's worth it! My nails always come out fantastic and even!!!! She is very detailed oriented which is so appreciated in this industry. Thanks Q for your amazing service. It's always a good time.
