Milan Nails and spa in Columbus, NJ

This salon would not service me because I was black. The look of disgust on their face when I walked in as no one even welcomed me said enough. All I wanted was to get two acrylic nails fixed and she refused and said no we don't do that. As they were sitting around in an empty salon, no one was willing to service me. I will never return or recommend. If I could give this place zero stars, it would get it. And I am very sure when they see this review, yes Im the black woman with the red jacket you refused. *I disguised my voice and called this business for an appointment while I sat outside and they told me to come right in* The disrespect is real.

I really love this place. They are friendly and clean. So many colors to choose from, along with regular or gel. Basic to spa. My youngin likes that they do decorative paint on her nails. I've never had a bad experience here. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the wait. There is always a wait, even with an appointment. Probably because they take walk-ins too. Other than that, great establishment.

I just had the worst pedicure ever at Milan. Rough, careless, thoughtless and totally sloppy. The tech scrubbed one foot but not the other and worked on cuticles on one foot but not the other. Could not hold the mail clip steady nor the nail file, and forget about exfoliating the callouses. She simply waved the tool around periodically colliding with my foot. No massage, just a sloppy rubbing on of moisturizer that she slipped all over the table as well. Rushed so badly and the tech was so rattled that I wanted to get up and leave midway through. Nail polish has been painted onto my cuticles and the top coat was slopped half an inch down my toes. I will never, ever go back. It's obscene that they charge for this. I didn't want to make a scene at the check out since the nail tech was handicapped and I felt badly for her. She shouldn't be forced to work there and shouldn't be doing nails.

My nails started peeling as soon as I got to my car. How? The owner employs her kids to assist...they are nice boys but have no idea what they are doing. Not even sure if they are qualified in cosmetics. My nails were flat, lopsided and uneven. Will NOT be going back!

Wanted a quick pedicure. Asked for white regular Polish. She opened the bottle tried to paint on top of my finger nail (I had just gotten done else where the day before) I said no and she still did it. She wiped it off with her finger leaving behind residue that ruined my dip powder finger nails I had just paid for. When I brought it to her attention she pretended she didn't understand English. Then grabbed the acetone and insisted on using it to fix the problem however this obviously would have made it worse so i wouldn't let her. She was very rough during the whole pedicure. She put oil and lotion on my feet. The oil made my flip flops so slippery I had to take them off and walk barefoot to the car. The whole experience was $30 which was overpriced for the pedicure/ ruined manicure I got
