Lovely Nails in Hamden, CT

I love Lovely Nails! I don't even understand the negative reviews-- somebody must have had a bad day. It happens! Lovely Nails is truly a lovely place. The prices are fair, the technical work is strong, the staff is professional, and there is a lovely community vibe which comes out in random laughter and snippets of longtime conversations that are evidence of lasting relationships between customers and techs. Come! It's worth it.

I really and disappointed to write this. I went in for a dip manicure and pedicure. I started with a girl who machine filed the nail polish off my nails until the flaked and burned. After 3 nails she told me to go with a guy. The station was covered in mail powder and the tools had cuticles visible (noticed this midway).

He started telling me I should get gel and I told him I came in for dip. He started to remove polish with the foil and cotton ball, but waited about a minute or two before trying to get it off. He didn't remove all of the nail polish under before starting. I asked if he was going to shape and he said later. The nails had weird lines from the way they'll were ground out.

He put each finger in the powder and kinda left it there. Didn't flick off the excess. There were cotton pieces and such stuck in the nails. They were bumpy and Lou not snd uneven. I pointed out as much as I could, but it didn't fix them. It doesn't go to the edges and the back is thicker than the front. He said I needed a uv top coat and I said I've never had that with a dip manicure. So he didn't put any too coat in other than like the regular polish. The top is still soft.

The girl at the front was sweet and insisted I tell the manager. The manager tried to fix up some things, but it didn't get fully fixed and the lumps and lack of top coat were still an issue. She offered me $5 off and I told her I already paid and she said next time. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. This is the first time I've ever truly had this level of level of quality. I am on the way to get them fixed now.

It's all about who you go to, everyone is good you just have to know who's the best in,what your looking for I love my nails Kim did an amazing job but it just the prices I feel like can be better ( not so expensive)

I felt comfortable and they are friendly it was my first time there. I had explained Holly how i want my nails and she did the exact way i like my nails to look thank you Holly!.
