Krimpers Family Styling Salon in Ventnor City, NJ

This salon is a great find just down the street from Santuccis. My regular hairdresser is Dana. I have short hair that requires a proper cut to get it to lay right, and Dana is up to the challenge. I have also used Nicole, another talented hairdresser. The prices are so reasonable that I can go often, and I am able to make an appointment, contrary to what some reviews have indicated. Not a fancy salon, but it has what I need. Everyone there is friendly.

Stylist Did not look up my information for my hair color from my previous times there. I came out with my hair color on one side not done with highlight. The entire color of my hair had changed and I had bleached white streaks in my hair that I did not want. The only resolution was for me to go home as I was told to sit in the sun my hair would get back to the way it was before I came in, the original color. Owner would not give me a full refund and I had to pay elsewhere to get it fixed. Owner insisted my hair looked fine when she only runs the business end, although her stylist are licensed she isn't so not qualified to make judgment. Spent 3 hours at salon, and another 3 to correct somewhere else and time spent talking to owner. A real time consuming hassle. Very unhappy. I would not recommend going here.

I love Krimpers! I get a wash and blow dry every week for only $25 before I go out. You don't need an appointment and I usually get someone in under 15 minutes. It may not be a fancy salon but all the girls are professional and well trained. Why pay for fancy? They are even open on Monday's. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Went here for the first time this week and plan to go back. The person who cut/colored my hair did a good job and the prices were very reasonable. Everyone who worked there was friendly and there clothing/items, etc for sale to look at while I waited for the color to set in. It is walk in appointments only but I got there right when it opened and I was the first customer there!

Krimpers has been around forever! I used to take my kids there at the end of the summer when they were little. I could not stand my hair anymore! Between the sun and sand, it looked like a broom! I just wanted something basic and felt that if they messed up, oh well, it'll grow back. I was extremely frustrated when I called and there was no answer on a Sunday, then the same thing happened about 5:15 the next day. Beware: They do things their way. No consideration to people who work past 5:00 or are hanging out on the beach, plus...no answering machine or website, so basically, you have to physically go to the salon to find out what their hours are!! Very, very frustrating!!! It was a Thursday and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my cut, color and blow dry were on special, only $50! Trish was available, so I figured, here we go! I walked out of there very happy! I have spent much more than that on services without the same level of satisfaction. It is a dumpy, no frills kind of place, but if you're looking for a basic service at a good price, this is the place! Just remember their hours! Tips must be in cash, plus no appointments.
