Kevin Kelly Salon in Keyport, NJ

BUYER BEWARE, as i was getting my hair done today i was asking Kevin about color. He told me he would put a "few highlights in" to give it something. When he was finished and i went to pay he charged for a full Balayage which was an extra $200!!!! I called to speak with him. I told him he nicely that i was over charged and i didn't ask for Balayage. His was rude and told me it was not his fault that i didn't ask the price. I told him I knew i could afford "a few highlights", not a full Balayage. I asked how much a few highlights were he said $120, that's was i should have been charged. He was arrogant and clearly conned me. I went there to have a nice day before the holidays and i was flat out treated badly and robbed. I am disputing the charges now. The fact that someone so young can be so CONNIVING is sad. All he had to do was refund me the difference. He thinks he is more than he is. This salon owner has two faces BEWARE!!!!!!! Prices are not posted!

BEWARE OF THIS SALON. Kevin refused to give me a receipt for services and did not guarantee his overpriced hair extensions that ripped wide chunks of hair our of my head from my scalp. His ego appears to be more important as I tried to call the salon for help and Kevin accused me of ruining two sets of hair extensions that I felt needed to be done after he applied developer in my hair to initially do a color correction which caused most of my hair to fall out. Kevin of course tried to blame me for that as well. Just recently instead of allowing me to come into the salon as I was trying to make an appointment Kevin yelled at me and hung up on me repeatedly. I have a son who is also 24 which is the same age as Kevin and he would never be so disrespectful. I've also had to witness the salon staff publicly bashing any customer that had a complaint. This was painful for me to see and I did not realize a hairdresser could just publicly humiate customers and then refuse to see them after making huge mistakes due to LACK OF EXPERIENCE.

It WAS a great place to go,until it became more of an UPPITY clique than a business. REGULAR people spend MONEY HONEY,and they usually tip BETTER too. That's ok though; Karma is a mug

Amazing everything ! I found them via Groupon and never left. Cristy and Kevin are rock stars! They do wonderful work and have established something special. Well run, beautifully designed and great overall vibe. Everyone seems so comfortable and happy in their space. A+++++

All of the stylists in this salon are excellent. Right when I walk in I am seated to start my service. The hair stylists ensure their customers are satisfied and will do everything to make sure that they leave feeling that way. Kevin and Christy have done my hair and I always leave very happy and with my hair feeling amazing. I've had very bad experiences in the past at hair salons, but not this one. They are extremely talented, and know what they're doing. They take their time and do not rush you out of the salon.
