Katmarie Salon in Middletown, NY

This salon is just okay!! I went about a week ago, my stylist was Nikki. She didn't really sound like she knew exactly what she was doing or talking about and talks way to fast. I asked for an ombré and kinda got highlights starting at the middle of my head going down. Not what I wanted at all The salon is very bare, the girls gossip across the salon. The music has a bunch of curse words in it, totally not appropriate for young girls. I won't be back.

My experience at this salon has been nothing but great. Erica has always done an excellent wax job. She's very easy to talk to and professional. Exactly the type of person I was looking for. After having a great interaction with Erica I thought I'd try and get my hair done here as well. Jessica was great and did my hair as I asked. I felt that my hair dresser was really personable and did more than was expected. Will definitely come again!

I have been going here for the past 4 years and I am always super happy with the way my hair turns out! My hair was super damaged when I first came to them and now it's super healthy. Kat has colored my hair a few times and I always love the way it turns out. Nikki has been cutting my hair for the past 2 years and always listens to me and gives her professional input. The prices are super reasonable for the quality work they do!

I wasn't happy with my hair after and to top it off I was told it would be $85 more. I was there for 5 hours and not once did the girl say oh it going to be more if we do this. She told me text message after text message one price. We all have a budget I went there with a certain amount yet paid $85 more. Then was told oh you can come back in a week and we will fix your hair. I had to go to work the next day and so many people said I thought you was getting your hair done. The salon takes unrealistic pictures of you after hair with professional lighting of course it looks great. I told the owner we don't walk around with professional lighting on us. In everyday day lighting my hair doesn't look like that. I asked her to refund me the $85, that it wasn't right what they did and she said NO. Which I thought was very unprofessional. The owner isnt accommodating and understanding to her customers! Don't let this place fool you with their hair pictures. If you do go make sure they tell you a price and make sure it stays that price.

This is my second visit and I've once again been floored by the quality of service at this salon. Kat is great and very receptive to what you are looking for. My hair again looks amazing.
