Just Imagine U Salon in Croton-On-Hudson, NY

I was looking for an Aveda salon and heard good things about this one, so I decided to try them. Making the appointment online was easy after sending a message via Facebook messenger. The appointment itself was quick and easy. I was there on a busy Saturday, and everyone was friendly enough. I chatted a bit with the hairdresser and the person who did my shampoo. Both were very friendly. I'm still looking for a salon where I will leave feeling "wowed," and I don't think this was it, but they were nice enough and have a steady following, so I wouldn't hesitate to try them again.

Maiyra is amazing! She is a true artist with hair and always makes my hair look gorgeous! She gives me good advice for haircare, cut and color. Her attention to detail and precision is amazing! She is meticulous and could work in a top NYC salon. She is a jewel!

I've been a client for over 25 years through some ownership changes, but the service and attention is always top notch!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I just left the salon in tears after the worst haircut of my life. Before I even sat down I showed Marcia where I wanted my hair to be cut. She reiterated "just below your shoulders?" I said yes. Acer getting my hair washed, I sat down and said "please just not too short." I asked for my hair to be cut just below my shoulders and what I got was a bob. Marcia cut 5+ inches more than I asked. My hair does not even reach my shoulders and to make it worse, the cut is insanely uneven. Women know that their hair is a large part of their confidence and identity and Marcia completely disregarded that. She did as she wished to my hair. I left the salon in tears and will absolutely never return. What a horrible experience.

I have been seeing Colleen who presently works at this salon for over 10 years. She is absolutely amazing. She listens, is attentive, offers creative suggestions and is a pleasure to chat with. She does exceptional work and you can tell she really knows what looks good and she gives really great styling advice but doesn't push products. I also really like that if I don't get a haircut for a year and a half- she doesn't take offense. She's a fabulous stylist and I highly recommend her. The salon itself is nice, very clean and the staff all seem very kind and efficient. It's funny, I lived around the corner from that place for 20 years and never heard of it until Colleen started there. So glad I have a stylist I can trust! Even if I now have to drive down from NH to get my hair done. It's worth it! Reasonable pricing too!
