Just a Cut Family Haircutters in Branchburg, NJ

Went here a few times but the last time I tried it was 5:41PM and I saw the owner look directly at me through the window, but by the time I got out of my car he had shut off all the lights and locked the door. The advertised closing time was 6PM. Demeaning and disrespectful. Unfortunate and so avoidable. The cuts were good, but I can't patronize an establishment that would do this; it was a wasted 14-mile round-trip and my time has value. I assume whatever he did with those 19 minutes was more valuable than the sum of years of future haircuts that were forfeited in that moment. If there was an emergency he should've answered the door and said something. His business, his choice. Clarice (sp?) was a sweetheart.

Love this place!! I am a middle aged woman and I go here several times a year for my haircuts! The owner thinks I talk too much but he is polite enough. I go to the blonde lady that works there. Shame on me for not remembering her name but she is excellent!!! She gives a great blunt cut for my long hair. The place is perfect for just a haircut!!! Do not hesitate to go there!!!!

Been coming here for more than a decade. It's gotten to the point the last few years I don't even tell him how to cut and he just does it. The owner Chris is great and very friendly/chatty with everyone. He's a big Yankees fan and has some memorabilia around which is really cool. Very affordable prices and great service. Saturday's (especially morning) are usually busiest. Def worth trying out!

Just a cut has been here a long time. Love supporting local business. There is rarely a long wait. It's a real barber shop. It isn't a chain haircut place. Probably the most unique shop I have been to. Very cool that he has a vintage Harley sportster next to his chair. My son loves sitting on it and Chris doesn't mind. His prices are very competitive with the chains, maybe better.

I have been coming here for a few years now, and wanted to review. Firstly, this is not located in Somerville. It is technically in Brachburg right near RVCC. Some may argue that the area is in North Branch, but the actual address is for Branchburg. So if you are looking for the business in Somerville, NJ then you are in the wrong area. It is indeed off of Rt. 28 but in a different town than originally listed. I went ahead and submitted some corrections for this business. Now, onto the haircut itself. The place has been here for 23+ years so it definitely has appeal to it. It is by far, one of the affordable places in town. For an adult haircut, I am paying $12 and am getting my haircut by someone I have learned to trust over the years with my style of hair. Kids are even cheaper and Chris and his staff are excellent with kids! (I've seen it first hand!) Don't let the location of this place fool you! It's a small building which may look like a house and in an area which you may miss if you drove right past it. If you are looking for a haircut in the area, this is the place to go. Chris runs an awesome business and knows almost all of his customers by first name basis the minute they walk in the door -- and believe me, he gets a lot of costumers. While he does have late hours on Thursdays and is open on Saturdays, I do suggest that you try to get there as early as you can. It can get quite crowded during peak hours but people will wait for their haircuts if need be, which is a sign of an excellent barber. Also, Just a Cut is not just a plain old barber shop, they can and should be listed as a Hair Salon as well! P.S. The wookie in my profile has not gotten a haircut here.. YET!
