Jules Salon LLC in Watertown, CT

I have gone to Jules several times and the first few times I went there service was really good but the last time I was there I got a color blowdry and cut and I showed my stylist the picture of what I wanted and my end result was not what I wanted. Thisc my birthday present as much as many compliments ive gotten on my hair im not pleased with it. They will no longer be getting my service.

This salon keeps deleting my review. The salon is horrible at doing hair and cut 6 inches of my hair off when my hair was perfectly healthy. The person whom did my hair was Ann and she did a horrible job. The cut was horrible and so was the style. I complained to the owner and she would not refund the owner and told me I needed to take accountability. I asked for a trim not a cut. I have super curly hair so I know a cut would make my hair look super short as I have shrinkage. Do not go to this salon I am not sure how they have 4.5 stars. I think because the request the reviews to be deleted. Also they gave me a devacut even though I asked for the trim which cost around $200. Save your money and go to a salon that knows what they are doing. A little more insight the person who did my hair was not even listed on the website at the time she did my hair. This person was a person in training and they let her do my hair. I would give this salon zero if I could. Do not go to this salon. You have been warned!

As a mother of four I had unfortunately put getting my hair done on the bottom of the priority list so I was in dire need of a new style. I am very happy with hair cut and color that I got with Michelle. She was very friendly and did an amazing job! I got a single process color, deep conditioning treatment and 2 inches and layers cut. My hair now looks so much shinier and healthier!! I also love that they use top of the line hair products so I don't have to worry about what I'm putting into my hair.

Appearantly if you're a person of color or with a person of color's hair style you cannot get your hair done at this establishment.
"You can't come in to a hair salon with stylist who have predominantly white customers and expect them to do your kind of hair." These are the words of Julie Hunt the owner of the salon, just to justify what has happened to my girlfriends hair.

The experience we had there was very conflicting. In the end it was not what we hoped it would be. I tried to surprise my girlfriend by bringing her to this salon. The service we received was very polite at that moment but the results and actions taken place afterwards was very horrendous. I bought a groupon deal to try this place out to see what I can do for Valentine's Day for my girlfriend since she hasn't been to a salon in a few years.
Her hair wasn't the color she had asked for, the blow dry service (we were told would cost extra and the price we were told wasn't what was on their official website, which was less) wasn't done properly. In fact it was worst. Her hair wasn't blown dry the it should have been. The roots were very kinky all over, her hair was flat ironed at the ends to give the look of being done, and the whole flat iron process was done rather quickly. The fact that the owner tried establish the reason why my girlfriends hair didn't come out the way it should have was because it's not "white peoples" hair. She is Puerto Rican, her hair isn't even that bad.

I tried talking and reasoning with the owner about redoing her hair and a refund for the blow drying. I was told, no, I was spoken to as if I was a child, with no sense of sympathy to meet my demands. I was only offered a recolor, which was from the groupon deal so that makes sense. The blow dry service, the one I had to pay extra for, she was refusing to understand our frustration and kept using her words to work angles to justify not giving me a refund. We paid for a service, we did not fully receive that service and we were not satisfied with said service. It's not that hard to understand why we should get the refund. She was being very rude, dismissive of our feelings and condescending.

I'm not sure what kind of business they're running but if I were you I would reconsider going to this salon. Especially if you're a person with a "non-white people" hair according to the owner.

Lets see what kind of service we'll receive after this review when we go for the re-coloring.

I moved to CT 7 years ago and I finally I found MY go to salon and colorist! Lindsey-THANK YOU!  I haven't stopped receiving  compliments on the cut and color - and it was a completely relaxing experience!  Thank you SO MUCH
