JCPenney Salon in Trumbull, CT

Extremely dissatisfying customer service experience. I had scheduled a portrait appointment five days ahead of time, but received a call two days before the appointment stating that the originally booked time couldn't be accommodated. They assured me they would contact me with a suggested alternative, but unfortunately, they never followed through with that promise. Frustratingly, my attempts to reach out to the store went unanswered as no one would respond.

Associates work hard to keep store going. I am greeted every time I walk by a register.

I don't often go to the mall but when I do I generally stop in at JC Penney because they have several departments which allow me to get just about anything from shoes/sneakers, men/women clothing, boys/girls clothing, home wares, bedding and more. The prices are usually very reasonable and every so often they provide discount coupons as well. My one gripe is that it seems to be they do not have enough cashiers to get you in and out but this is not too big of a deal.

Had an appointment on Sunday, November 11th at 3pm. At check in I was told that all sessions were behind an hour. After a half hour, asked for an update and was still an hour behind. Decided to continue waiting because this was the only day and time that fit everyone's schedule. Ended up waiting an additional 2 hours for our session. After 5pm, I was finally called to take our portraits. The session was rushed and it reflected on the pictures. Pictures showed closed eyes and awkward poses. Talked to someone on the floor informing them that I was unsatisfied with the pictures and wanted a retake. They were so behind on other sessions and were not able to accommodate. They offered to reschedule but I did not want to because of how frustrated I was with the experience. I also refused to pay for the session because of what happened. I have been coming to Trumbull, CT for 5 years, however, due to my recent horrible experience I will be seeking out another studio to take our holiday portraits.

Zero customer service skills. We were running a little behind due to traffic and called to say we're running late, is it okay? The lady who answered said it was fine as they were AN HOUR behind and to come home in and check in when we arrive. Well we did that, only for another employee tell us we had to be rescheduled to another day. We told her that is not what was said to us and all she said was they shouldn't have said that. We brought our 3 month out In the rain to get these photos done. The fact that they were an hour behind is ridiculous. I'm addition the employees were actively complaining in front of customers, with one employee mimicking shooting herself in the head. Completely unprofessional.
