High Street Cuts in Nutley, NJ

This was the second time on Friday I visited here since June for a blow dry/flat iron to straight hair. Last time in June, I worked with Shane and on Friday, I worked with Arelys! Both are very friendly and a joy to talk to, however I have extremely curly hair and you'd think professional hair stylists know what to do to ensure the hair is straightened properly so it at least would last till the next few days as I was getting my hair styled for an important event both times. But nope! Once I left after seeing Shane, my hair started curling again and by the next day, it was a frizzy mess... thankfully Shane was able to fix my hair properly and this time it actually lasted a few days like it should have. On Friday, I told Arelys about this and asked her to please flat iron well so my hair doesn't curl back up right away. That same night into the next morning it was messed up in so many places and I was told no one could fix it the next day. Neither of them know how to blow dry and straighten curly hair properly the first time or there is lack of effort...so unfortunately I don't think I will return anymore.

After the visit I have my long blond hair back! Great job with highlights and removed yellow undertones. Highly recommend.

My hair came out quite as I expected and Shane is quite nice and experienced. Downside parking is whatever is left on the street and prices are a bit more than I expected for this small salon that is off the beaten path. What I noticed to be the worst of the experience especially for a first timer was the overpowering smell of cooked food that hit me in the face as soon as I opened the front door and permeated throughout the salon the entire time I was in the chair that left me feeling nauseous I should have mentioned the problem but hoped it was just a one time thing and may try it again

Needed a blow out for a blind date. Found this cute petite salon in Nutley off of High Street. Small commercial corner with some other small store fronts. Parking was metered and easily accessible. I was greeted with a masked receptionist who took my temperature and got me ready for blow out appointment. Washed my hair in back sink and then took me to first chair for blowout. Shane was my stylist and made my hair look amazing. She was very professional and easy to talk to, I received a warm welcome and would like to go back for a cut and glaze service. Looking forward to making my next appointment.

Went here to get a haircut and style for my birthday dinner I was going to later that night. I walked into a lovely and clean salon and very friendly staff. I was taken care of by Shane. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions. Shane was awesome and made my hair look and feel gorgeous!! I will definitely be back and I totally recommend this salon to everyone I know!
