He Says She Says Hair Studio in Hamden, CT

Booked an appointment a week ago and drove a pretty good distance in order to get my haircut.  Arrived at the shop 10 minutes before the agreed-upon appointment time only to find that the shop was closed. Tried to call numerous times and sent texts with no response.  I won't be attempting to go back here again.

This is the first stylist review I've ever written. That's mostly because no one, not in 40 years, has given me a cut and style that was worthy of a review. That ends here. Lynette, owner of "He Says She Says Hair Studio" in Hamden is a styling savant...she just knows.
I'd read the other reviews here & was desperate one afternoon bc of an upcoming trip, so I gave it a shot and called. In 20 minutes I was in her chair, clueless and stressed. Hair decisions can be a real freakout but Lynette is so calming & reassuring. She's so skilled that my "I have no idea" became the starting point for a fresh look.

She magically came up with a new cut that was perfect. It wasn't insane, in fact it was basically in concept the same general style I'd always worn. But way better. Sleeker, more class!
No one has come up with anything new for me in 25 years that worked. I'm into my third cut with Ms L and every one has the same extremely pleasant private feel that is its own selling point for the salon.
Where can you find a high quality salon that's private & quiet? Nowhere but He Says She Says. fact, all three times Lunette has styled me I was the only one there. I think, working alone, she schedules it that way on purpose to give each client undivided attention. I certainly wouldn't have been able to handle the typical noisy hair place with my need for calm consideration to come up with something great.
I simply cannot say enough about Lynette and He Says She Says. She's the best & I recommend her without question.

Oh yes, HER PRICES ARE GREAT, much more competitive than any other Salon or Studio of this high quality.
Girls, I'd pick her for a "prom do" or color, or maybe a special style for a wedding or formal function, any special occasion.

For many years my family and I hopped around between different barber shops in town, and there was no consensus within my family on where one can reliably get a good haircut.

This all changed in 2012, when we discovered He Says She Says Hair Studio. Immediately, we all reached a consensus that Lynnette gives the best haircuts in town. In fact, all four men in my family have been returning to Lynnette for every single haircut over the past seven years!

I would highly recommend He Says She Says Hair Studio for a number of reasons:
1) Lynnette consistently gives high-quality haircuts.
2) Lynnette has an excellent sense of style, so even if you don't know what type of haircut you want and just ask for a haircut that "looks good," she has the ability to figure out what type of haircut would look great on you.
3) Lynnette is very friendly and a great conversationalist.

I came here to get a different style, and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Very welcoming , nice salon!

After only one visit, He Says She Says has been my go to for the last 2 years now. She is by far the most consistent, personable, and talented stylist I've encountered. I always send my friends and family to her because I know they're going to be happy with what they receive. Lynette's exceptional ability to pull off whatever you ask for and her sincere personality makes her unmatched in the area.
