called today to set an appointment. Explained to the receptionist I usually travel 40 minutes to Toms River to get my hair colored and cut. I also explained I was very satisfied with their services but I was looking for a hair salon closer to my home and I wanted to give them a try. The receptionist asked a few questions and asked me to wait so she could assign me a stylist. When she came back to me she told me the next available appointment would be in August. Really?! She might as well said we don't want to see you! Not professional and insulting to say the least! their web site states walk in welcome But clearly, not sure why, I wasn't!
This was my 2nd time of getting a haircut with Stephanie after moving to Ocean Co! My haircut is short but somewhat unconventional and it had been awhile between cuts because life has been in the way. You understand, right!? I was really surprised that she still remembered and was able to cut it spectacularly! And my hair isn't easy to cut! It is fine, crawls like cat hair, has a slight curl, and I have what my grandmother called "cow licks" in the front and in the crown, so it definitely isn't like cutting a mannequin's head! Only my 2nd cut and I have found a stylist to call HOME! How often does THAT happen in life? Usually you have to "pay your dues" with a few REALLY ugly episodes where people like Stephanie have to try and salvage what they can! Hope this helps you!!!
This place is the best! From the moment you walk in, everyone is so welcoming and the salon is always clean. Shannon does my hair and I like to call her a hair queen as she perfects everything I ask her to do. I typically get a color and cut for a reasonable price and it's worth every penny. Highly recommend Hair by Honeycutt!
The nicest staff ever! Everyone there is so kind, quick thinking and professional. Ive been seeing shannon for awhile who also does my 2 year olds hair and they always are absolutely amazing even when the toddler doesn't make it easy at all. 10/10 always. My highest recommendation!
