This is an amazing salon! The service and staff and were outstanding. I came in with my hair botched from another salon an hour prior, and they somehow fixed it and made it exactly how I initially intended, very fair priced!

I live locally here in Amherst. I had a very expensive ($208 plus a 20% tip) keratin treatment done here by Mandy, and after only 5 days it looked like I hadn't had anything done at all. My husband called the salon to complain, and the initial response from the salon personnel was that I should try using a flat iron to restraighten my hair. This of course is the whole point of getting a keratin treatment, so flat irons aren't necessary. When my husband pointed this out, the salon personnel told us that they would let the owners know, and the owners would contact us. One of the half-owners called us back about an hour later, and initially offered to re-do the treatment, but since I'm about to travel out of the country this was not an option. They said the best they could do was half our money back or we could take them to court. When my husband pressed the owner, she got angry and called him a "real ass" and "a dick", and hung up on him. Don't waste your money here. If all you need is a basic haircut there are plenty of friendlier and far more economical salons in the area, and you shouldn't trust them to handle anything more complex.

I had my first appointment at Hair by Harlow with Kendra. She and all of the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. They followed covid precautions and made me feel very safe in the salon. I could not be happier with the cut and color I received. Kendra really took her time and was very thorough through the whole process. Pricing was good too! I would recommend this salon to anyone, will definitely be returning.

I had my hair cut by Lora today on their first day back from the mandatory closure. The stylists have done an outstanding job preparing for reopening. They are following all protocols and I felt confident and safe. I have been getting my hair styled by Lora for years and I love her work and enthusiasm. I highly recommend Hair By Harlow.
