Frenchies Modern Nail Care - Woodbury in Woodbury, MN

Two of us went here as a girls day treat and got the worst manicure (more than $70) and pedicure (more than $90). I was encouraged to get an up priced nail polish because it would stay on and you could see through it when I went out in the sun. I couldn't go back in for another coat because we had another appointment. My thumb nail wasn't fully covered and the next day it was already coming off. The pedicure was just as bad. They ran out of the selected color mid way through and had to switch colors. They don't do any design which was disappointing but something you can get over. The worst part was by the next day the pinky toe polish fell off. This is ironic because the 5 minute "massage" they give you is done after the polish is on because that is supposed to help it last longer. I wrote them an email to let them try to make it right, but they have ghosted me. I will NEVER spend money here again and would not recommend anyone go here. (Pictures are from day 2)

I've been visiting Frenchies for about 3 years now. The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly and nice. However, not all the people give the same quality of service. I have tried a few different people but I have my absolute favorite. I will wait for her to have an open space rather than see someone else. She gives the absolute best mani/pedi. The gel polish they use is very good. I cannot remember what it is called but it's awesome. It's the only polish that has not flaked off or chipped. Unfortunately it's not a line I can order to do my nails in between visits. I also like that they have a membership. Every month I pay $50 to be in the club and then I get a discount on services, $50 credit to use in services and some other perks. What I really like is the service credit does not expire. It just rolls to the next month! My only complaint is the pedicure seating. I do not find it comfortable at all. I'm short and I feel like I'm sitting in the edge but if I lean back it's awkward. Just not comfortable.

I feel like I've given this place 10 strikes over the years and today was my final straw-- I will not be going back to Frenchies again. I was charged $65 for a classic gel pedicure. I was dumbfounded that I was asked what scent I wanted but then had no scented scrub or lotion used on me. The whole service was rushed as it took 45 minutes instead of 75 mins that it was scheduled for which included taking my previous gel off. I thought maybe I signed up for a different service by accident but confirmed with the check out girl that I didn't. When my concerns were voiced, I was told I could take some lotion home with me-- gee thanks.

They did not honor a twice confirmed manicure on 9-4-2021. Can't comment on service as was not performed. Staff member would not honor appt despite confirmation email. Avoid!!

We've only been here once before but I have to say this was the worst yet. We went because of the discount we received but won't be returning. My manicure seemed rushed and my pedicure wasn't anything spectacular. Some of my polish is even coming off and I really could've used cuticle help, etc. My sister who came with me got a gel manicure and some of it peeled the day after. My combination was SO expensive even after the discount and the price doesn't match the services whatsoever.
