Frederick Michael Salon in San Diego, CA

Love this place so much! Freddie has been doing my hair for years and is absolutely amazing!! Everyone there, from staff to client, is super friendly and funny! They really make you feel at home! Great atmosphere and general vibe!

I came and saw Min for my first Japanese perm. I already left a separate review for her and it is definitely five stars. The salon itself is also five stars. The vibe here is wonderful and relaxed. They have coffee and it one time someone had ordered food and I was offered some. You can tell that there are a lot of regular clients coming in as everyone was treated like family members or long time friends. Families with kids came in and there is plenty of comfortable places to sit. Everyone here was extremely friendly and the salon is huge and very clean. I was here for five hours getting my hair done and I was having a good time just people watching. I loved my time here!

Freddy has been going my hair for almost 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my haircuts. Very convenient and centrally located salon in the heart of san diego. It's one of the most spacious salons which allows for a great friendly atmosphere. There's always someone at the shop that is able to help you.

Although when I got there the person I originally booked with was over booked and could not take me Shan B. Did have space for me and did an amazing job!! I loved my hair. I did try booking with her again but she was no longer listed on my booking app.

i was referred to rene jager at frederick michael hair salon by an a mutual acquaintance. after securing a parking space in the ridiculous parking lot (it was all worth it!) i walked into the salon and was greeted by rene. as an extremely "nervous only when getting my hairs cut" kind of person, i put my complete trust in to her ability (as our mutual friend has gorgeous hair!!). i showed rene pictures of a past haircut that i loved!! rene took the time needed to explain her techniques and how my hairs would be cut. she also commented on my 'virgin' hair (being that all i do to it was wash and go... no color, etc.) rene suggested i try highlighting my virgin hair. i was very, very hesitant to consider a 'change'. but, rene convinced me!! AND I AM SOOOOO HAPPY SHE DID!!!! can't say enough about rene! what a grand personality! i absolutely LOVE MY HAIRCUT AND HIGHLIGHTS!! i highly recommend rene! she has creativity, is precise, has a great presence and a fab stylist!!!!! and she has the cutest little 'room' in the place!!! do not hesitate to get your hairs done by rene!!
