Essence Salon in San Diego, CA

Cassie is the best I have been going to her for 10 years. She knows what you want and does it in a timely and professional manner! So glad I found her and this salon!!

This review goes out to Crystal. First time meeting her in person and I have to say she is such a sweetheart even communicating with her via email or text I already can tell she's very friendly. My best friend had been telling me to go to her for the longest and idk why I just didn't listen til I got fed up with my hair stylist. Both girls I used to go to can't ever get the color I want it ends up being something else instead of what I had ask and shown pictures until I went to Crystal and... OMG! She was able to achieve the color I have been wanting for the longest! I was shocked because I came in and wasn't expecting much because I said oh, I might get disappointed yada yada but wow I was shocked and amazed! She is so talented I must say I made the right decision of going to her although I have to be honest I was skeptical in the beginning because I wasn't ready to pay more than how much I normally would pay but hey you get what you pay for and I've learned that spending a little more for the quality and someone who actually does the style you want rather than paying less and be disappointed. I highly recommend CRYSTAL she's very talented and actually knows what she's doing ooh and she's very detailed, she'll let you know what she does during the process and explains why she does this or that. Also, she educated me on how to take care and maintain my hair. Very knowledgeable never actually had that experience in the past. I finally found my go to hairstylist Thank you, Crystal for making my hair beautiful again

I have to add to my previous rating that Wayne Michaels at Essence, who's cut my hair for years, is tremendously talented. People frequently compliment my hair after he cuts it!

Literally almost cried when the hairstylist shampooed my (extremely damaged) hair, didn't use conditioner, didn't use heat protectant, and then blow dried it on hot......whack. And then I really DID cry when I had to pay $57 for it ......no thanks !!!!

This review goes out to Crystal. I couldn't be anymore happy with the outcome of my hair. She did such an amazing job and really listened to how I wanted my hair. She's very knowledgeable about her craft, and has taught me so much about maintaining my hair unlike other hairstylists. She also puts a big effort into building a relationship with her clients and not just someone that does you hair. I'm pretty proud to call her my new therapist LOL. Can't wait for my next session with her!
