Ellis Hair Studio in San Diego, CA

Elli was super friendly and squeezed me in for an appointment pretty last minute. She listened to what I wanted (a minimal trim on the ends for health/evening out, but with some re-shaping of the bangs) and really did a good job with it. She also worked really fast, without sacrificing quality. I've had haircuts at other salons that took 1.5-2 hours that came out terribly; Elli finished my haircut in about 50 minutes-1 hour (just about what you'd typically expect), and it came out nicely. Her salon is also in a nice area of town, just across from the waterfront near a cute little park, and just next door to a nice coffee shop, so the atmosphere was impeccable as well. Thanks!

Ellie: I absolutely loved Ellie! I was on a layover and just popped in for a spontaneous (but much needed) cut. She squeezed me in and got straight to work. This woman is passionate about what she does. I get the impression that she lives for her work. She is an all around people person. I never felt awkward and forced into our conversation. She was very warm and welcome and made me feel right at home even till the every last minute. She gave me two hugs as I said goodbye! The cut: when I walked in, and I told her, I didn't really know what I wanted. It had been years since my last haircut, and I knew I needed something to freshen me up. She took me under her wing and give me recommendations on what she thought would look good. I trusted her to just take over and work her Magic. She cut off 8 inches and added a face frame. It wasn't anything extravagant but it was exactly what I was looking for. She gave me a cut that fit my frame. Typically after haircuts i am never happy. But this haircut was very different. I cannot stop staring at my beautiful hair. The products that she used really made my hair shine and tamed my uncontrolled frizz. I will be bidding for San Diego layovers in the future just to see her.

Elli is amazing!! I have not been to a hair salon in probably 7 years and she saved my life!! My hair looks amazing now it's like she brought it back from the dead. She is definitely my go to from now on! I will not let anyone else touch my hair but her. Apart from providing excellent quality service she is extremely fun to talk with and be around, vibe is right always.

I was recently in downtown San Diego waiting on an expedited passport renewal for a business trip to Vancouver the next day. Since I had to stay nearby until my passport was printed, I decided to try get my haircut in preparation for my trip. I located Elli via Yelp and Google. Since her studio was nearby and highly rated, I reached out for a last-minute appointment. She called me back immediately and fit me in for a haircut and style within 15 minutes. It was kismet. She was extremely cordial, friendly, professional and affordable... my hair turned out great. So glad we crossed paths!
