Gary has been a master at making my baby fine hair look trendy and easy to care for.....and his advice on how to gracefully transition to grey hair was spot on! He did upper highlights on my graying roots that softly blended into my hair and made the process stylish and lovely. My parents were well known hair stylists for major TV shows before they retired and they always emphasized the importance of having a hairstylist that can give a great haircut and a great eye for haircolor. You will get both here !
Love this place!! When I moved to Armonk from NYC, I needed to find a quality go-to spot. I tried several barber shops/salons in town and in nearby areas (Stamford, Greenwich, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, etc), but this is the place! Gary is the best and the whole vibe is great!!
Moved back to the East Coast (to live in the woods on a lake) after living in Hollywood, CA the last decade and I didn't think I'd be able to find anyone to do my color after being spoiled by Beverly Hills' finest. (Thankfully my stylist flies to NYC every 2 months!) I've tried various high end reputable salons in Manhattan to no avail. Seems an excellent colorist was something many people think they are.. but they aren't. I was miserable, I know I am terribly fussy and particular about my hair, especially the color, but still couldn't believe how challenging it was to find someone skilled and experienced in NYC. I wasn't asking for anything crazy, I'm a brunette, and I always bring photos of what I want, and after years of seeing the best colorists I am fully aware what is possible and what is not. Hundreds wasted on color disasters - this was proving an impossible feat. Then someone recommended Gary. I am absolutely delighted, the color is PERFECT, and Gary clearly knows exactly what he is doing. His expertise is obvious, and he is absolutely wonderful too!
