Cutting Crew Hair Salon Newton in Newton, NJ

Diane does not honor appointments. Last time I had an appointment for a perm, she told me it would be a half hour wait so advised me to take a walk around Hampton Plaza where the salon is located. In the meantime, she took on a family of three who were not scheduled. When I got back after a half hour, I waited another half hour and she still wasn't ready for me. I had to leave because I didn't have over an hour+ in my day extra before I had to be somewhere else. I decided to give her another chance and booked another appointment for a perm. Waited 10 minutes when she came out and said that it would be another 20-30 minutes before she would get to me. Apparently, she was fitting in another walk-in. She is good at perms, but her attitude towards scheduled clients is just downright disrespectful. No more Cutting Crew for me.

Brought my granddaughter in for a haircut. She has rather thick hair but long and straight. Just wanted dead ends taken off. No one else in there that night so several girls showed a very young girl how to ring into the register. That should have been a clue she was new. After the cut, when I took my granddaughter home I looked at the bottom of her hair and said it didn't look even. Since my granddaughter had pulled all her hair forward I figured that is what made it look uneven. The next morning my daughter called and said the cut was horrible. SOOO uneven that she would have to take my granddaughter somewhere to even it out. I went over and sure enough it was terrible. Straight cut-few inches off...how do you screw it up that bad?? We had been there before and had cuts twice and no problem. Pretty sure she didn't even go to beauty school if she cant make one straight cut. Heaven help you if you wanted something more complicated. No point in arguing with them for what we paid for it, but don't they have to pass some kind of test to be hired? It was a straight cut- no excuses for this.

Went here to get my sons hair cut. They are 4 and 2.5 so I get they move a bit but they were being relatively still. The hair cuts are so bad. Uneven, didn't cut by the ears just not good. Won't be back.

I walked in as a walk-in. The lady working was very rude and condescending to me. She told me I would have to wait for another lady who she wasn't even sure would be back. Otherwise I would not be serviced. Very unprofessional. I walked out and do not recommend them

Seems like there's always a wait every time I go but I always get a good haircut. Stylists are always friendly.
