Weekends, especially Saturday mornings and afternoons, are often peak times for many hair salons. Additionally, weekday evenings can be busier due to clients visiting post-work. It's always a smart move to book in advance, but if you prefer a quieter environment, you can ask ColorCounter about their less hectic hours.
It started out when they cancelled my appointment with my regular hairstylist and rescheduled with Danielle. I was supposed to go in at 11:00, and she didn't see me until 11:35. Danielle had not studied what Ally had previously done with my highlights. She disliked the color I was using, and kept assuring me she would take care of me much better. She bleached around my face very thinly, and I happen to have very thick hair with whites all around my front hairline. I was there until 1:00, while she went back and forth between another client. I left extremely disappointed and went home to blow dry my hair to find out my white hair was still there and nothing had changed at all. She should've washed my hair much earlier than she did. I was waiting with bleached hair. She was untimely with everything she did. And in the meantime she complained to the owner in front of me, as to what to do with me as a client. I would not go back to Danielle, ever. She needs to be taught how to take care of a client.
Adequate color service but the turnaround in stylists is above average. If convenience is your main factor then this place will serve you as they keep your color preference on file. If having one person do your hair is your preferred choice, then this place may not be for you.
DO NOT get your extensions installed or moved up for maintenance. I had Meghan move up my rows a few months ago, besides it taking really long. I assumed she did a good job. UNTIL TODAY. I saw another hair stylist who specializez in extensions to get my rows moved up again and she was disguisted with what she saw. First of all, my natural hair was cut A LOT. There were literally chunks of my weft tied to pieces of my hair that she cut. As she was taking my rows out today, chunks of my hair was coming out. SECONDLY, she placed the rows in places where I cant pull my hair back without my wefts showing. The hair stylist I saw totally was SHOOK when she saw how poor of a job Meghan did. I legit cannot explain how happy I am that I decided to have someone else take care of my hair because Meghan
I highly recommend Dana for highlights specially if you need a color correction. She is very talented, and very confident in her work. She listens to her clients and makes sure their needs are met.
The name "Color Counter" scared me at first because I just wanted a basic haircut, and it was totally worth it! I live very close so this salon was very convenient and very affordable! I saw Danielle and she did a great job listening to everything I had to say and using her own expertise to make my hair look amazing! Thank you so much Danielle and I'll definitely be back for that balayage next!
