Color Me Krazy in Cornwall, NY

Kristen is the best! I love how she does my hair. She listens to what you want, explains what will work and what may not and explains how it would look before doing it. You feel like family as soon as you walk in the door! Kristen and Berlinda did my hair for ny wedding and it was fabulous!

Heidi understands CURLS! Great color and cut for us Curly haired gals! She also understand what teens are looking for for current styles, boys included! Relax and make an appt!

I have taken my daughter to this salon several times over the past year. I'm conflicted with how to review, because we have had color and cut and both have been done well on most occasions. On one of our visits I did specifically suggest the stylists strip the hair before coloring so my daughter would have the saturated color she was after, but she said she didn't think she needed it and the color did not turn out as we had hoped. Disappointing, but I still came back because they had done a great job with color before. On our last visit, my daughter's stylists stopped working at least three times to answer her personal cell phone. I find this annoying and unprofessional. While I understand the occasional need to attend to personal business or emergency questions that arise, this was repeatedly the same person calling with the same issue. It was annoying and prolonged our time in the salon. Unfortunately on our last two visits I was really turned off by issues that went unaddressed while I was there with my two children. The first time I had to request a change to the music playing because it was blatantly inappropriate due to language and content. They did change the playlist once I asked, but it surprised me that I really needed to speak up since my kids (10 and 12) were sitting in plain sight. The last time we were there another customer was talking loudly and cursing a lot while, again, both my kids were there and obviously hearing the conversation. I really would have appreciated one of the stylists gently addressing the fact that there were kids present. If the customer had continued to speak that way, I would understand...but the staff are the ones who should be providing a safe space for customers. If the salon is geared more towards an adult clientele, please say that when I schedule appointments. I understand that I didn't need to worry about my or my kids' physical safety while I was there, but, in my opinion, a safe space also includes respect for age appropriate content and professional demeanor. I believe the stylists at Color Me Krazy are talented and I am disappointed to seek out a new salon for my daughter. I hope they can make a conscious effort to improve professionalism and the salon atmosphere so all feel welcome.

Friendly, clean and doesn't kill the bank. Very happy with my cut and blow out. I'll definitely be back!
