I absolutely love this spa. I've been here multiple times, and everytime the staff has been so pleasant, the massages and facials were incredible, and I left feeling much more relaxed than I was before. I got the ultimate massage and dermaluxx facial and oh my Godddddd it was the best three hours of my life!!!

I scheduled my wife for a massage on her birthday. Her review was that is was the worst massage she's ever had. She said it was far from relaxing , sporadic and rushed feeling. It felt like the masseuse was trying to tickle her rather than using "long, flowing stokes" as their menu advertises. She came out of the massage soaking wet with oils, her hair looked as wet as if she just stepped out of the shower. They did not leave her with a clean towel or offer her one to clean herself off. They also discarded the used wet towels on top of her socks and shoes so when she left she had cold wet feet. She expressed her displeasure with staff who apologized about the experience and said we will definitely be reaching out about the experience but have yet to do so.

Mixed feelings about my experience. For the massage services and check-in, I would say those were very good. The staff work together to communicate with the clients and each other. Very relaxing spa vibe with dim lights and calm for the massage areas. HOWEVER, my hair cut here and that was NOT such a great experience. I just wanted a 2 inch trim. Nothing fancy. My hair is very straight and not hard to cut. The stylist failed to check where my hair parts when it was dry and "guessed" after it had been shampooed and began to cut. Which is not what my experience has been with other stylists. The next day, I shampooed & styled my hair, I realized that she had been WAY off. See the photo. Had to go to my regular hair stylist to fix this fiasco. So, I DO recommend the other spa services, but caution against trying the salon services if this is not where you normally go. I am sure that they would have "fixed" this, but I now live out of town, hence my cautionary tale. ~ update: management did indeed say they would have fixed my hair had I had the time to come back. That would still have NOT made up for the 5 inches of HAIR LOST as my hair dresser had to cut an additional 2.5 inches for a total of 5 inches taken off. Which is NOT how short I wanted, but it looked SO lopsided that she had no choice.

My husband and I visited Bear Mountain Inn for the first time today and while we were here, he was able to book us each a massage for the same time slot. What an incredible experience! The desk clerk was so welcoming, she made us comfortable in the waiting area and provided us with cucumber water while we filled out our paperwork. I chose a reflexology massage with Amanda, who was wonderful. From the moment I was with her, she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. My mind was totally clear and any stress was instantly melted away. My husband got a Swedish massage with Stephanie and he said it was hands down the best massage he's ever gotten. We have fallen in love with this magical gem of a place and we plan on coming back to visit again. Do yourself a favor and book a treatment at the spa, you won't regret it, worth every penny!
