If I could give this a zero star I could,the people were mean ,they said no children allowed,that's a bit rude

Theeeeee BEST SALON VISIT EVER!!! I'm absolutely going back. I reached out on Tuesday 2/15 and I was given an appt for Thursday, my appt was for 12:45pm. I arrived at 12:40ish and by 1:10pm my hair was thoroughly washed and conditioned and I was walking to the chair for my blow dry. Latosha and her staff were all very cordial and greeted me as I came in. The shop is clean, spacious with a real girlfriend vibe.
I'm a natural girl  and Latosha was able to answer my questions and proposed reasonable solutions for maintenance and hair growth. By 1:50ish she was removing the smock from around me because I was ALL DONE!! I mean completely done. I appreciated the respect for my time. MAJOR POINTS!!!! I was sent a link to make my payment and this process was seamless. Talk about the best salon visit EVER!! Thank you Latosha for being a GREAT BLACK owned salon. I see you and appreciate your hard-work!!!!

LaTosha McKnight Irby provided an absolutely disappointing experience.  Prior to my appointment I was so excited about having her style my hair especially since she received a 4.8 rating in Styleseat. I was flabbergasted when she just nonchalantly created what appeared to a kindergarten craft project gone wrong on my head.  She did not have the proper styling products, nor the proper styling tools. I saw one non-descript flat iron which she used on my hair. My hair looked so bad my family thought I had missed my appointment.
I am so appalled that I waited before putting a review, because I wanted to be thoughtful about what I said. I recognize she is human, mistakes happen, people can have an "off day" perhaps that's what happened when she did my hair, however I'm never going back and further I will never recommend her or this salon.

My desire for black-owned businesses, in particular black women-owned businesses is they learn to acknowledge, address, and reconcile inefficiencies  with professionalism, poise and grace.  She was very much aware of her lackluster job, but just chose to collect $125 and move on.  When I recognized that she was going pretend there was nothing wrong,, I decided I would make this one-time payment, then take my perpetual business, elsewhere along with all future recommendations. As a result of that she compromised her ability to grow and evolve financially, professionally and personally.

I'm so very disappointed in the services that this establishment gave my daughter recently. I have gotten my hair done with this salon previously and they did such an amazing job with my silk press. So of course I wanted my daughter to get her hair done there in preparation for an event. My daughters aunt and father brought her to the appointment that I made a few days prior to the day she went in for a SILK PRESS. When i picked up my daughter her hair was in a sloppy pony tail that was dry and barely blow dried out. My daughters hair looked better going into the salon than coming out. I now live in Maryland so I had to go back home unsatisfied and ended up doing my daughters hair myself.

I tried calling the salon on Tuesday to only get in contact with someone today (Thursday). When asking the manager what happened, she made excuses that my daughter was hysterically crying and she didn't want to "torture" my child. After going back and forth with the MANAGER, reminding her that I am a customer and she shouldn't be speaking over me trying to argue because I was dissatisfied with her services, she explained that they don't normally take children. Now if you don't normally take children clientele then wouldn't you think that would be something you say to a mother that is on the phone with you scheduling an appointment for their daughter.
The main reason for my call to their establishment was to find out what happened and to at least get an apology or a refund for a service that was NOT completed. Instead I went back and forth with a unprofessional manager for about 15 mins. The ONLY reason why I give them two stars is because of MY silk press prior to, but the overall customer service was horrible and upper management couldn't even take the blame but instead tried to argue and go back and forth with a CUSTOMER. Do better. Take some customer service classes please.

LaTosha does a great job on my hair. I highly recommend her services. A great bonus at this salon is when you make an appointment you get in the chair on time.
